The President, Maine Medical Partners (MMP) is responsible for leading Northern New England’s largest multi-specialty group, with 750 employed providers delivering patient centered-care through a network of ambulatory clinics and in the state’s largest tertiary medical care facility, Maine Medical Center (MMC). The MMP President will champion quality, strategy, financial performance, growth, and provider alignment across ambulatory and hospital- based services. The MMP President directs a 12-member board that includes the MMC CEO, MMP Board Chair (an elected physician), MMP CAO, and nine other MMP providers elected by the group.
The President will serve as an integral member of the MMC senior executive team (President’s Council) and will work collaboratively with the Medical Staff Office. The President will continue to improve the engagement of MMP staff and providers and continue the transition from a rapidly growing medical group to one with a defined identity and culture of high-quality, high-value care. S/he will also lead the planning effort behind a $50 million investment in MMP’s ambulatory care facilities strategy for Neurosciences, Women’s Health, and Primary Care expansion.
The ideal candidate will be a physician with experience providing executive leadership to an integrated physician group. S/he will possess a deep understanding of medical group operations and the ability to drive top performance in quality, clinical care, patient experience and financial results. An MD or DO from an accredited institution and board certification in a medical specialty is required.
