ATLANTA – Elizabeth B. Hanckel has joined Tyler & Company as Senior Vice President. In this role, Hanckel will conduct executive searches to fill positions within leading healthcare institutions, and will continue to provide human resource consulting services to a variety of healthcare clients.
Hanckel brings with her 31 years of healthcare experience, 20 of those as an HR executive and consultant for a variety of both small and large healthcare systems. For the past decade, Hanckel has worked solely as a consultant in the field, guiding healthcare organizations through transitions geared toward improving HR strategies. As a consultant, she has served as interim vice president of HR with various hospitals and health systems around the country. Her broad-based background working with these institutions and handling their unique challenges makes her a valuable asset to Tyler & Company.

Prior to becoming a consultant, Hanckel was Vice President of Human Resources at St. Mary’s Health System, Health Services Corporation in Grand Junction, Co., and Director of Human Resources for Inner Harbour Hospitals in Douglasville, Ga., and the Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
Hanckel is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management, and the American Society for Healthcare Human Resource Management. She has worked on the Governor’s Committee for Welfare to Work in Colorado, has served on the Council on Child Abuse in multiple states, and has been a member of numerous United Way committees. Currently, Hanckel volunteers at Valley View Hospital in Colorado. She has been quoted in industry publications, and she makes presentations at various industry events.
Hanckel earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Queens University in Charlotte, N.C., a certificate in labor and industrial relations from New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, N.Y., and a master’s degree in human resources development from Webster University in St. Louis, Mo.
