ATLANTA – For nearly 20 years, Hallie T. Banker, Senior Research Associate at Tyler & Company, has been considered a valuable resource and exemplary researcher (recruiter) by her colleagues. Recently her efforts were acknowledged by the premier body of the executive search industry – the internationalAssociation of Executive Search Consultants (AESC). And today, her dedication was applauded by her peers at AESC’s annual Researchers and Associates Summit in New York.
Banker, honored with AESC’s prestigious "Award for Excellence and Professionalism in Research," is the first recipient to represent executive recruitment in the healthcare industry. The award is given to nominated, experienced AESC member researchers who uphold the highest standards of research, as well as represent themselves and their firms in an ethical manner at all times.

Since the award’s inception in 2004, eight researchers have been honored – four from the Americas and four from Europe. It originated to acknowledge the importance of the researcher role within search firms worldwide. In many cases, this recruitment function is vital and key to a successful search. Founded in 1959, AESC represents retained executive search consulting firms worldwide, and promulgates ethical and business standards. This award also serves as a testament to AESC’s mission and values.

Banker joined Tyler & Company in 1993 as an Administrative Resident under J. Larry Tyler, Chairman and CEO of Tyler & Company, while working on her MHA and MBA degrees at Georgia State University in Atlanta. After earning her masters’ degrees in 1994, she signed on as a full-time Research Associate. A few years later, she fell in love with Charlotte, N.C. during a client site visit, and relocated to the firm’s then newly established office in that city. She continues to live in Charlotte with her husband and their two young children.
