ATLANTA – J. Larry Tyler, CEO of healthcare executive search firm Tyler & Company, has been named one of the world’s most influential headhunters byBusinessWeek magazine.
BusinessWeek compiled its 2008 Top 100 List of the Most Influential Headhunters in the World by rating executive-search consultants on several factors including individual reputations, years of headhunting experience, global scope of recruiting practices, accessibility and responsiveness, high visibility within the client markets served, and recognition within their own firms and/or global executive search communities.

Tyler has more than 30 years of experience in executive search consulting. He started Tyler & Company in 1978 and recruits for a variety of healthcare organizations nationwide. The company has four offices around the United States including Charlotte, N.C.; Austin, Tx., Philadelphia, Pa., and Atlanta, Ga.
Tyler is very active in the executive search profession and in healthcare professional associations. He is a member of the Council of the Americas of the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) and serves on the AESC membership committee. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), a Fellow in the American Association of Healthcare Consultants, a Fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and a Certified Medical Practice Executive of the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACPE). Tyler is a frequent lecturer on the national circuit, and he is on the national faculties for ACHE, HFMA, and the American College of Physician Executives. He is the author/co-author of two books, three book chapters and more than 50 articles on various career development and healthcare governance topics.
