Atlanta – Signium International, Inc., a worldwide executive search firm with 39 offices in 21 countries, will hold its 14th annual conference in Atlanta Oct. 8 to 11, at the Ritz Carlton-Buckhead, 2424 Peachtree Road (+1 404 237 2700). Ignacio Bao, chairman of Signium International and CEO of Bao & Partners in Madrid, Spain, and more than 60 Signium members from 20 countries will collaborate with fellow colleagues.

J. Larry Tyler, FACHE, FAAHC, FHFMA, CMPE, and president and founder of Tyler & Company, a healthcare and life sciences executive search firm headquartered in Atlanta, will host the event. Tyler was recently awarded the “Distinguished Service Award” by the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), an international professional society serving more than 30,000 healthcare executives who lead hospitals, healthcare systems and healthcare organizations. Tyler achieved this award through ACHE's yearly recognition program for his service to ACHE, an organization which is also known for its prestigious credentialing and educational programs.
 
Both Tyler and Bao also were listed in the top 100 "World’s Most Influential Headhunters" in 2008 by BusinessWeek magazine.
 
Joseph McCool, author of the groundbreaking new book Deciding Who Leads: How Executive Recruiters Drive, Direct & Disrupt the Global Search for Leadership (April 2008, Davies-Black Publishing) will speak at Signium’s conference at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9. Described by BusinessWeek as “the authority on headhunters” and cited in worldwide media, including The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, The Economist, and Investor’s Business Daily, McCool’s speech will include the following key themes:

  • An overview of current market conditions for executive talent and why demand for management leadership is more robust than the broader economy
  • The challenge of innovating the executive search process
  • Key lessons from his book Deciding Who Leads
  • What the future holds for executive-level recruitment and management succession 

Signium International conducts this meeting in a different worldwide location each year, and it is usually hosted by the local member firm. Other agenda items include voting for and welcoming new member firms.
