Words from J. Larry Tyler, FACHE, FHFMA, FAAHC, CMPE, Chairman and CEO
As hospitals and healthcare systems continue to address the demanding and complex financial implications of healthcare reform and the increasing trend of mergers and acquisitions, the need for skilled financial executives is growing. Tyler & Company at its beginning, 35 years ago, primarily placed CFOs at hospitals and health systems. Our Financial Leadership Practice always has been a strong one.
In an effort to continually improve how we serve our clients, please note that I am handing over the reins of our Financial Leadership Practice to my colleague, Joan Elizabeth Gee. While I have been intimately involved in recruiting and placing top financial leaders in healthcare and have been a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association for 22 years, we recognize that expanding this practice is necessary to best serve our clients. Please note that I will continue to chair Tyler & Company’s CEO and Health Systems Leadership Practice.
Joan has more than 25 years of experience in executive recruitment and a significant background in recruiting in healthcare and finance including stints at KPMG and Tatum. After nearly two years with Tyler & Company, Joan has achieved extraordinary results for her clients and our firm. Thank you for allowing me to share my excitement and introduce to you Joan’s new leadership role. Please keep us in mind as you examine your needs for finding the best financial talent.
