ATLANTA – Michael Belkin, JD, FACHE, joined Tyler & Company’s Philadelphia office January 2014 as Vice President. His career spans more than 15 years; the majority of which has been dedicated to healthcare recruitment.
Prior to joining Tyler & Company, Belkin completed nearly a 10-year tenure at Merritt Hawkins, a physician recruitment firm. His responsibilities there grew with his progressing positions – first as Physician Search Consultant, then Regional Vice President, then Divisional Vice President. Belkin is well versed in national physician recruitment and managing a team of recruiters. He takes great pride in being communicative, offering quality service and delivering results.

Throughout his career, Belkin has partnered with a variety of healthcare organizations, including health systems, acute-care hospitals, academic medical centers, tertiary-care medical centers and physician practice groups.

After graduating with his Juris Doctor from University of Pittsburgh School of Law in Pennsylvania, Belkin served as Managing Partner of Belkin P.C., a law firm that specialized in corporate contract, tort and bankruptcy law. He continues to cultivate his appreciation for law via healthcare recruitment and has a special interest in service lines and positions that cater to or involve legal disciplines. Belkin earned his Bachelor of Arts with honors in International Business from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. Here, he also earned a second Bachelor of Arts with honors in German.
Belkin is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.
Belkin was born in Riga, Latvia, which was part of the former Soviet Union, and emigrated with his parents to the United States when he was 5 years old. He is fluent in Russian and proficient in German. During his free time, Belkin enjoys exercising, traveling and spending time with his wife and their two young daughters.
