UofL Health – Jewish Hospital (formerly KentuckyOne Health – Jewish Hospital) opened in 1905, and today, is a 462-bed, internationally renowned, high-tech tertiary referral center located in downtown Louisville, developing leading-edge advancements in a vast number of specialties and services. Many of the hospital’s clinical programs have achieved national rankings for excellence. Noted for numerous medical firsts in Kentucky, the nation and the world, Jewish is the site of the nation’s first four hand transplants, and the world’s first and second successful AbioCor™ implantable replacement heart transplant.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented nursing executive to identify opportunities for care redesign, and lead transformational initiatives focused on improving efficiencies, effectiveness and patient experience, including Magnet and other quality-focused programs. As Jewish Hospital more fully integrates into UofL Health, a non-profit academic system, they are seeking an innovative, out-of-the-box thinker and collaborative leader to support the vision of growth fueled by quality, innovation and technology within this complex surgical facility.
The successful candidate will have at least seven years of progressive nursing administration experience, including at least five at the leadership level. Success in influencing cultural transformation, along with experience in a Magnet environment and experience in an academic medical center or teaching facility is preferred. Master’s degree required; PhD in nursing or DNP preferred. Kentucky/Compact state license and BLS training is required; National Nursing Certification in Field of Specialty must be completed within one year of date of hire.
