Cooper University Health Care, the clinical campus of Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, is the leading provider of health services to southern New Jersey. In the past decade, Cooper has greatly expanded its facilities and services in Camden and throughout South Jersey. With more than $1 billion in net revenue, the Cooper network currently serves more than half a million patients a year. The health system includes Cooper University Hospital and a network of more than 100 outpatient locations throughout the region, including a surgical center in Voorhees and urgent care centers in Cherry Hill, Audubon and Sicklerville. More than 590 university physicians and 181 community physicians represent more than 75 specialties.
Reporting directly to the Co-President of the hospital system, the Chief Nursing Officer is responsible for the strategic planning and operational leadership for patient care services. The CNO is responsible for the standard of nursing practice throughout the hospital and in all settings where nursing care, treatment and services are delivered, including transportation departments. As an integral member of the executive leadership team, the CNO will demonstrate high emotional intelligence, servant leadership and a partnership approach. Success in implementing Lean Six Sigma initiatives or Studer Group Principles to enhance satisfaction and engagement will be a valued attribute. An understanding of academic, urban and union healthcare environments will be beneficial
The search will be led by Dennis Kain, a senior Vice President at Tyler & Company.
Dennis has been with Tyler & Company for almost twenty years. Dennis has conducted CEO, senior executive and physician executive searches for large health networks, academic medical centers, independent physician practices and community hospitals across the country. Charlotte Tinsley will be assisting in the search. Charlotte is a senior consultant at Tyler & Company and has been with the firm for almost 10 years. She has more than 20 years of leadership experience in human resources and retained executive search.
